Salary: NJC12 – NJC20 £29,542.00 - £33,673.00 (Actual salary -£24,505.00 - £27,932.00) - Inclusive of the provisional 3.3% cost of living pay award
35 hours Mon 8.30am – 5.00pm Tues and Wed 8.30am – 4.00pm Thurs and Fri 8.30am – 3.30pm (minus 30 minutes each day for lunch) Term time only + 5 training days
Location: Heatherwood School, Leger Way, Doncaster, DN2 6HQ
Contract type: Permanent – Term Time + 5 additional days

Heatherwood School is a vibrant learning community and part of Nexus Multi Academy Trust. It is a special day school for pupils aged 3-19 years with severe, profound and/or multiple learning difficulties.
Heatherwood School has an additional post 16 provision for pupils with moderate learning needs; and a small cohort are educated at, The Bridge, our offsite provision.

Our Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across school supporting our pupils. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and innovative person dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for our pupils. You will work as part of a team facilitating innovative opportunities, outstanding levels of care and inspiring experiences to engage and motivate our children and young people.
This role would particularly suit someone with a passion for developing communication and interaction. As well as working directly with pupils, the successful candidate will have a key role in developing and embedding effective communication strategies across the school. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will support the implementation of a consistent, evidence-informed approach to communication, helping to ensure that every pupil is enabled to communicate as effectively and independently as possible.
